Specializing in representing homeowners in sales and guiding first-time buyers in Northern Virginia, Mercedes often collaborates with her Realtor husband, Wayne. Their partnership extends beyond real estate, originating from their time together in the US Peace Corps in Recife, Mercedes' hometown. Since then, they've embarked on numerous adventures, both globally and as Realtors in Northern Virginia.
Following her retirement as a School Teacher from Fairfax County Public Schools, Mercedes transitioned into real estate full-time. Alongside her husband and their son, Michael—a dedicated Special Olympics athlete—Mercedes manages Open Houses, bringing warmth and expertise to each interaction.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Mercedes finds fulfillment in community engagement. She holds a master's degree in Special Education from George Mason University and is fluent in English, Spanish, and her native Portuguese. Actively involved in her condo association's board, the Annandale Knitting Circle for the homeless, and the APC Church Book Club, she also volunteers at the Arlington Food Assistance Center, supporting dozens of local families in need.
